The plate heat exchanger is a new type of high efficiency heat exchanger assembled from a series of metal plates with a certain corrugated shape. A thin rectangular passage is formed between the various sheets, and heat exchange is performed through the sheets. Compared to conventional shell-and-tube heat exchangers, the heat transfer coefficient is much higher at the same flow resistance and pump power consumption, and there is a tendency to replace the shell-and-tube heat exchanger within the applicable range. The types of plate heat exchangers are mainly frame type (removable) and brazed. The shape of the plate is mainly a herringbone corrugated plate, a horizontal straight corrugated plate and a spherical plate.
The plate heat exchanger is mainly composed of a frame and a plate. The sheets are pressed into various shapes of corrugations by various materials by various types of abrasive tools, and angular holes are formed in the four corners of the sheet for the flow path of the medium.The perimeter and corner holes of the panel are sealed with a rubber gasket. The frame consists of a fixed compression plate, a movable compression plate, upper and lower guides and clamping bolts. The plate heat exchanger is formed by stacking a plate in the middle of a fixed compression plate, a movable platen, and then clamping with a clamp bolt.
