The plate heat exchanger has the characteristics of high heat exchange efficiency, low heat loss, compact and lightweight structure, small footprint, wide application, and long service life. Under the same pressure loss, its heat transfer coefficient is 3-5 times higher than that of the tube heat exchanger, covering an area of one third of the tube heat exchanger, and the heat recovery rate can be as high as 90% or more. (1) The working pressure of the heat exchanger is below 2.5MPa. The plate heat exchanger is sealed by gaskets, the periphery of the seal is very long and the support condition of the two seals of the corner holes is poor. The gasket cannot obtain the sufficient pressing force, so the maximum working pressure of the plate heat exchanger is only 2.5MPa. When the veneer area is above 1m2, the working pressure is often lower than 2.5Mpa.
(2) The operating temperature of the plate heat exchanger is below 250°C. The working temperature of the plate heat exchanger is determined by the temperature that the gasket can accept. When using rubber elastic gaskets, the maximum working temperature is below 200°C. When using compressed asbestos wool gaskets, the maximum working temperature is 250~260℃.
(3) The heat exchanger is not suitable for the heat exchange of the medium that easily blocks the passage. The passage between the plates of the plate heat exchanger is very narrow (3-5mm). When the heat exchange medium contains larger solid particles or fibrous materials, it is easy to block the passage between the plates.
