Plate heat exchangers are ideal equipment for liquid-liquid and liquid-vapor heat exchange. Plate heat exchangers are widely used in various industries because of their advantages. Plate heat exchangers used in various industries have different service lives.
(1) Plate heat exchangers in the chemical industry. The most common chemical industry is generally used in chlor-alkali process, phosphoric acid or sulfuric acid cooling and other working conditions. Plate heat exchangers must be resistant to high temperatures, high pressures, and corrosion under this extremely harsh working condition. The normal service life is only 2-3 years, and many large factories usually replace them every year.
(2) Plate heat exchanger for hotel domestic hot water industry. In the domestic hot water industry of hotels, the most common heat exchange is steam-water and water-water. As long as the corresponding material is selected according to the correct parameters and the operation method is correct, the service life of the general plate heat exchanger can reach 8 year. The steam temperature reaches 120 degrees, and the use of 304 plates can easily cause stress corrosion, which affects the service life. Generally, 316L plates are selected, and high-temperature EPDM gaskets are selected for gaskets, which eliminates the problem of short life from the source.
(3) Plate heat exchanger for photovoltaic industry. In the photovoltaic industry, it is necessary to polish the polysilicon that has just been cut from the slicer to prevent workers from being cut by sharp four sides during assembly. Therefore, a plate heat exchanger is used to polish the polysilicon with mortar. Then the other side takes the cooling water to carry out a cooling cycle of the mortar. Because mortar is a medium with large particles and high viscosity, the plate heat exchanger will be blocked after a long time. Therefore, the life of the plate heat exchanger in the photovoltaic industry is about 3 years.
