The main types of plate heat exchangers are frame type (removable) and brazed type. The plate forms are mainly herringbone corrugated plates, horizontal straight corrugated plates and knob-shaped plates. The plate heat exchanger is a new type of high-efficiency heat exchanger made up of a series of metal sheets with a certain corrugated shape. Plate heat exchangers are ideal equipment for liquid-liquid and liquid-vapor heat exchange. It has the characteristics of high heat exchange efficiency, low heat loss, compact and lightweight structure, small footprint, convenient installation and cleaning, wide application, and long service life. Under the same pressure loss, the heat transfer coefficient is 3-5 times higher than that of the tube heat exchanger. It occupies one third of the tube heat exchanger, and the heat recovery rate can be as high as 90%. So what are the functions of the various parts of the plate heat exchanger?
(1) Heat transfer plates of heat exchangers. The heat transfer plate is the primary heat exchange element of the heat exchanger. Usually the corrugations are made into a herringbone shape. According to the different fluid medium, the heat transfer plate has different materials. Most of them are made of stainless steel and titanium.
(2) Heat exchanger sealing gasket. The sealing gasket of the plate heat exchanger is mainly used for sealing between the heat exchange plates. The data are: nitrile rubber, EPDM rubber, fluorine rubber. Choose different rubbers according to different media.
(3) Frame plates at both ends. The pressure plate at both ends is mainly to clamp and press all the heat transfer plates to ensure that the fluid medium does not leak
(4) The heat exchanger clamping bolt. The clamping bolt is mainly used to tighten the pressure plates at both ends. Clamping bolts are usually double-threaded. When the bolts are pre-tightened, the torque of the fixed plate is even.
