The plate heat exchanger is a detachable heat exchange device composed of many herringbone corrugated heat transfer plates arranged at certain intervals and compressed by rubber gaskets. The internal leakage of the plate heat exchanger refers to the leakage of the medium from the high-pressure side to the low-pressure side of the two media in the heat exchange equipment for some reason. This leakage phenomenon is generally not easy to find in time. The main causes of such leakage are perforation, cracks and corrosion of the sheet. The method for discovering this kind of leakage is to frequently conduct tests on the medium on the low-pressure side and judge from the change of its composition. So what is the check method for stopping the internal leakage of the plate heat exchanger?
(1) Disassemble the plate heat exchanger and remove the dirt on the surface of the plate to reassemble the heat exchanger. A water pressure test with a pressure of 0.2 to 0.3 MPa is performed on one side. Stop the test after water flows out from the other side. Turn on the heat exchanger and carefully observe the untested side of the plate, where the wet plate is a plate with holes or cracks.
(2) The light transmission and coloring inspection methods can also be used on site to detect waste plates.
