The plate heat exchanger is a new type of heat exchanger which is assembled by a series of heat exchanger plates with a certain corrugated shape. Compared with conventional shell-and-tube heat exchangers, the heat transfer coefficient is much higher under the same flow resistance and pump power consumption. There is a tendency to replace shell-and-tube heat exchangers within the applicable range.The working fluid flows through the narrow, tortuous passage formed between the two sheets. The hot and cold fluid passes through the flow path in sequence and heat is exchanged through the plate.The application of plate heat exchangers in the petroleum industry: (1) heating and cooling of various oils. (2) Factory cooling water system. (3) Treatment of acid water in the factory. (4) Condensation and cooling of the gas at the top of the tower.(5) The offshore drilling platform is used for seawater cooling cycle fresh water or ethylene glycol crude oil cooling, desalination device, fresh water distillation, and triethylene glycol dehydration.
