Plate Heat Exchanger Heat Loss

    The plate heat exchanger is mainly composed of a heat transfer plate pressed by stainless steel or titanium alloy, sealing rubber gasket, clamping bolt and a pressure plate machine frame and other parts. The plate heat exchanger plate consume about 8 kgs per square meter of metal, while the spiral plate heat exchangers require about 20Kgs for same parameters,and other shell-and-tube heat exchangers are more. The plate heat exchanger has a small heat loss. The plate heat exchanger is only exposed to the atmosphere around the plate, so the heat loss is only about 1%, and it is not necessary to use an insulation layer. The plate heat exchanger is easy to disassemble, clean and repair. Loosen the compression nut for cleaning and maintenance, and replace the gasket or plate. For the easily fouling medium, due to the  mediun intense turbulence in the plate heat exchanger, the turbulent critical Reynolds number is about 10 times lower than tubular heat exchanger, so it is not easy to scale.
