Heat Exchanger Cleaning Methods

   When using a chemical cleaning plate heat exchanger, it is necessary to analyze and test the scale according to the actual conditions and the water quality to prepare the chemical cleaning. Since the difficulty of cleaning is rapidly increased with the increase of the thickness of the scale layer or the heat exchanger cleaning solutiondeposition, the cleaning interval should not be too long. It should be periodically inspect, repair and clean according to the characteristics of the production equipment, the nature of the heat exchange medium, the corrosion rate and the operation cycle.

   Depending on the form of the heat exchanger, sufficient space should be left at both ends of the heat exchanger to meet the requirements for conditional (operational) cleaning and maintenance. Fixed pipe plate heat exchangers should be provided with sufficient space at both ends for the extraction and replacement of pipes. Moreover, when the tube is cleaned by mechanical means, the tube can be brushed at both ends. The fixed head cover end of the floating head heat exchanger should have sufficient space for the tube bundle to be withdrawn from the housing, and the outer head end must also be placed more than one meter in order to attach and detach the outer head cover and the floating head cover. The fixed head cover of the U-tube heat exchanger should allow sufficient space for the tube bundle to be withdrawn, or leave enough space at the opposite end to allow the shell to be removed.
