(1) The refrigerant charge is small, which is conducive to environmental protection and lower operating costs. The shell and tube sides of the shell and tube heat exchanger have a large volume. To make the refrigeration system work normally, it needs to be filled with a large amount of refrigerant, and it may also cause environmental pollution. On the one hand, the plate heat exchanger has a small volume and a small spacing size.
(2) Because water can form a high degree of turbulence in the plate heat exchanger when the water flow rate is low, the temperature distribution is very uniform, thereby reducing the freezing tendency of the chilled water. Even if freezing occurs, it can withstand the pressure generated by freezing. Shell and tube heat exchangers are as easy to burst and crack the heat pipe and can be used after freezing.
(3) When the refrigerant evaporates in the refrigerating plate heat exchanger, it is very easy to completely evaporate to the level of no liquidity. Most of the time, the refrigeration system does not need a gas-liquid separator. It can realize unitization, simple and convenient installation, and can save a lot of cost in maintenance and transportation.
