As the plate heat exchanger works for a long time, different degrees of dirt or deposits will be produced on the surface of the heat transfer plate, which will increase the flow resistance and reduce the heat transfer performance. These are mainly manifested as the increase in the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet pressure gauges and the decrease in the outlet temperature of the cold medium, so we have to clean it. So what is the reason for the decline in the heat exchange effect of the plate heat exchanger?
(1) The plate heat exchanger is blocked during operation.
Particles larger than 1.5~3mm in diameter can easily block the plate passage. The gap of the flow passage of the plate heat exchanger is small, which causes the heat exchange capacity of the equipment to be greatly reduced due to blockage. Therefore, a coarse filter or a backwashing device can be installed at the inlet of the medium according to the needs, which can effectively prevent the blockage of the plate heat exchanger.
(2) The plate heat exchanger fouls after running for a period of time.
When the heat exchanger fouling is serious, the plate passage will be blocked. The plate of the plate heat exchanger is designed with a large number of supporting points. The fouling can cause the heat transfer coefficient of the heat transfer equipment to decrease. It is designed to turbulent flow and pressure support to the medium. The place where the solid debris is easy to accumulate causes the fluid to form a local stagnant flow and generate dirt. The calcium and magnesium ions in the medium can easily form honeycomb-like dirt after precipitation at a suitable temperature.
