The types of plate heat exchangers are mainly frame type (detachable type) and brazed type. The plate form is mainly composed of a herringbone corrugated plate, a horizontal flat corrugated plate and a tumor-shaped plate.Plate heat exchangers are high efficiency heat exchange equipment. There are two kinds of practical applications, one is the umbrella plate heat exchanger manufactured by the spinning method, and the other is the flat plate heat exchanger manufactured by the stamping method, and its structural characteristics are as follows:
(1) The plate heat exchanger has a small volume and a small footprint.
The plate heat exchanger covers an area of about 30% of the tube heat exchanger with the same heat exchange capacity, which is superior to the shower tube cooler.
(2) The plate heat exchanger has high heat transfer efficiency.
The plate heat exchanger enables the two heat exchange fluids to be at a lower flow rate, enhances the disturbance, stimulates turbulence, and enhances heat transfer. The heat transfer coefficient K can reach 16720J/(m2.h/°C) (water to water) ), it’s 2 to 4 times higher than the tube heat exchanger.
(3) The plate heat exchanger is flexible to assemble.
When the production requires changes in process conditions and production, the plate heat exchanger can meet the requirements as long as the number of plates is increased or decreased or the channel form of the plate assembly process is changed.
(4) The heat loss of the plate heat exchanger is small.
The plate heat exchanger is only exposed to the atmosphere around the plate, so the heat loss is only about 1%, and no insulation layer is needed.
