Plate & frame heat exchanger pressure drop
Plate heat exchanger selection: The fluid average flow velocity in the flow path between the plates is 0.3-0.6 m/s, and the resistance is preferably not more than 100 kPa.
The mixing plate is adopted: The mixing plate has the same corrugated geometric structure on both sides, and the plate is divided into a hard plate (H) and a soft plate (L) according to the angle of the chevron corrugation, and the angle (generally about 120℃) is larger than 90℃
The asymmetric plate heat exchanger is adopted: the symmetrical plate heat exchanger is composed of plates with the same corrugated geometry on both sides of the plate, forming a plate heat exchanger with the same cross-sectional area of the hot and cold flow passage.
Multi-process combination: When the flow rate of the hot and cold medium is large, multiple flow combinations can be used, and more passes is used on the small flow side to increase the flow rate and obtain a higher heat transfer coefficient.
Set plate heat exchanger bypass pipe: When the flow rate of the hot and cold medium is relatively large, the bypass pipe can be set at the inlet and outlet of the plate heat exchanger on the large flow side to reduce the flow into the plate heat exchanger and reduce the resistance.
