When the plate heat exchanger is used, there are certain requirements for resistance. It is generally preferred that the average flow rate of the medium in the flow channel is 0.3-0.6 m/s, and preferably the resistance does not exceed 100 kPa.In order to meet the resistance requirements, there must be certain measures to assist the plate heat exchanger manufacturers how to reduce the resistance of the heat exchanger?
(1) Asymmetric plate heat exchanger
The asymmetric plate heat exchanger is composed of plates with the same corrugated geometry on both sides of the plate, which forms a plate heat exchanger with the same hot and cold runner area.
(2) Using a mixed heat exchanger plate
The corrugated geometry of the two sides of the plate of the hot mixing plate is also the same, and the plate is divided into a hard plate (H) and a soft plate (L) according to the angle of the chevron.
(3) Plate heat exchanger bypass pipe
When the flow rate of the hot and cold medium is large, a bypass pipe can be provided at the inlet and outlet of the plate heat exchanger on the large flow side, which can reduce the flow rate into the plate heat exchanger and effectively reduce the resistance.
(4) Adopt multi-process combination
When the flow rate of the hot and cold medium is large, it is recommended to adopt a process combination arrangement. The smaller flow side uses more processes to increase the flow rate and achieve a higher heat transfer coefficient.
