The working temperature of the plate heat exchanger is the temperature that the gasket can withstand, and the working pressure of the plate heat exchanger is also restricted by the gasket. As the service life of the plate heat exchanger becomes longer, leakage is a situation that may occur at any time. Most of the plate heat exchanger gaskets have problems, which may be misalignment, aging and corrosion. So how to properly purchase heat exchanger gaskets?
(1) Brand model of plate heat exchanger
It is best for us to provide the original brand and model of the plate heat exchanger. This is to ensure that the purchased rubber pad will not go wrong. If you know the brand model, you can find the manufacturer according to the model brand
(2) Working medium of plate heat exchanger
When we have determined the model, we also need to clarify the working medium that our system flows through. Different working media should choose the corresponding gasket material. For example, choose EPDM (Ethylene-propylene-diene propylene) material for steam, and choose NBR (nitrile nitrile) material for oily media. If the oil temperature is >120℃ and <150℃, you can choose HNBR (hydrogenated nitrile) material.
(3) The center size of the heat exchanger plate
