Plate heat exchangers are ideal equipment for liquid-liquid and liquid-vapor heat exchange. It has the characteristics of high heat exchange efficiency, low heat loss, compact and lightweight structure, small footprint, wide application and long service life. The problem occurred after cleaning due to the leakage of the plate heat exchanger or the low efficiency of the heat exchanger. The customer lacked professional maintenance knowledge for the heat exchanger, and did not measure the clamping size when disassembling, and the plate exchange had been leaking. So how to calculate the clamping size of the plate heat exchanger? After the heat exchanger is disassembled and cleaned, and if the installation sequence is good, we also need to know the clamping size of the equipment. If we don’t know, we should also know how to calculate it in advance.
(1) The thickness of the plate. Generally, the thickness of heat exchanger plates is divided into 0.5mm-0.8mm, we usually take 0.5mm to calculate.
(2) The groove depth of the plate. The groove depth of each model is different, generally divided into deep grooves and shallow grooves, so it is necessary to figure out which one.
