When the medium is water, the heat transfer coefficient can be as high as 7500W/m2.°C, the structure is compact, the volume is small, the quality is light, the material is saved, and the heat exchange area per square meter consumes about 15Kg of metal. The operation flexibility is large and the application range is wide. By installing the intermediate partition plate, several liquids can exchange heat with each other at the same time, and the required heat transfer area can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the plate piece.
The main disadvantages of the plate heat exchanger are: the circumference of the seal is long. At present, the total length of the large plate heat exchanger is more than 2800mm. It is often required to be disassembled and cleaned during use, so the possibility of leakage is very large, and it is difficult to handle suspended materials. The temperature of the plate heat exchanger is limited by the material of the gasket and the temperature cannot be very high. Its processing volume is relatively small.
