  The performance (physical, chemical and process properties) of the sealing gasket, the form of the sealing groove, and the compression ratio of the sealing gasket are the three major elements of the sealing design.

 The sealing groove shape directly relates to the sealing gasket positioning in the sealing groove, which affects the stability and sealing effect of the sealing gasket during operation. Reasonable seal groove design should make the seal gasket not displacement in the design position under the force and heat, and maintain the original compression ratio. To achieve the above requirements, the seal groove design should closely.In consideration of the tensile properties of the plate material, the inclination of the seal groove should be as small as possible. At present, the plate type heat exchanger design in China, the inclination angle of the sealing groove is generally between 25 and 35 degrees. For some well-known foreign brands, the inclination angle of most of the plate sealing grooves is about 20 degrees and the minimum is 7 degrees.
